One thing that annoys me is when people who (correctly) say we must distinguish between Palestinians and Hamas, simultaneously treat “Israel” as this homogenous blob that encompasses civilians, the military, the Netanyahu administration, radical settlers, Zionist intellectuals in America, etc. One side is collectively judged by, and considered synonymous with, anyone on that side who exercises power or authority, while those exercising power or authority on the other side are considered wild outliers and thoroughly unrepresentative of the true nation.
@JJ_McCullough The whole business is ever so complicated. Why does the Anglo-sphere care so much about Israel/Palestine?
@JJ_McCullough Exactly. Said it perfectly.
@JJ_McCullough Agreed. The truth resists simplicity.
@JJ_McCullough @big_figgot What's even worse is Hamas has, like, 80% support of Palestinians while Israel constantly has internet anti administration protests and movements.
@JJ_McCullough Funny because people who support a free Palestine constantly have to remind those who are pro apartheid that Israel isn’t a religion or a people it’s a country with a government
@JJ_McCullough Not really. Any person who has minimal knowledge of Israel knows that there are progressives and pacifists in that country. Just not that many left…
@JJ_McCullough McCullough "correctly say we must distinguish between Palestinians and Hamas" Fool The footage of Palestinian *citizens*, not Hamas, but Palestinians celebrating and desecrating the dead bodies of Israeli victims is all over Twitter Spitting on corpse👇
