The myth is that there isn't enough time. There is plenty of time. There isn't enough focus with the time you have. You win by directing your attention toward better things.
@JamesClear The price of freedom is control of your attention.
@JamesClear You don't need more time; you need more focus. Fewer projects. Fewer commitments. Fewer obligations. Fewer responsibilities. Carefully choose what you commit to, then go all in.
Exactly why different cultures process time differently. Americans are obsessed with it: "time" is one of the most common words in English, we spend it, save it, kill it, buy it ... But Eastern cultures, with much more time/ history behind them, take a more circular view of time as opposed to a linear view. They look at time like a balloon, that inflates and deflates to deploy where you need it. There it's about *making time* for what's important. Because there IS plenty of time to be made.
@JamesClear Keep the main thing, the main thing
@JamesClear You don't lack time... you lack focus.
@JamesClear If you want something, you can actually MAKE time for it. Otherwise it would be called reserving time.
@JamesClear It's no myth. There really isn't enough time for every single thing we want to do and see and experience in this life, particularly with our loved ones, who are also dealt limited time. But that is as compelling a reason as any to FOCUS and make the most of the time we've got.
@JamesClear Time is illusion. Space/universe has no time, humans made time to define aging.
@JamesClear For everyone one who says there's not enough time open your screen time in phone. And wake up earlier. Suddenly you have all the time in the world.
