How can hospitals afford to pay traveling RNs more than staff? It’s all about the money. They aren’t paying for benefits, especially long term benefits. And it’s easier to fire/downsize temps than staff.

Asks the women that leave L&D without their newborns because of COVID; or ask the partners/family that leave without the mother and newborn because of COVID. Stillbirths and death are sadly prevalent for those experiencing pregnancy who refuse to follow preventative measures.

I’m in NY - absolutely not. I’m required to wear it for work. I’m vaccinated, boosted, and have had COVID 3x. But I work with patients who need protected, so I will protect myself to protect them.

My sister and her ex both live in Queens. Yet her ex only gets their daughter one weekend a month - from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. He pays the same amount of support he would if he had 50/50. As if that makes sense. The amount he pays doesn’t cover 2 weeks of school.

My niece FaceTimes with her dad every night, which I’ve had to listen to the last week of quarantine. The result is I have even stronger opinions about the behavior of coparents, and I think the child support system is broken. Is this where I do a thread? Sorry still learning.
