@Guntalk I use my drivers license. South Carolina allows you to use your CWP, but the bar code on your SC drivers license can be scanned by the electronic poll book used at voting precedents in South Carolina. With the CWP they have look you up manually. I will not make their job harder.

@SenWarren No community colleges would all raise their rates. That is what has happened every time college aid has increased.

@MJTruthUltra Also when you bid on a contract to supply parts for the government the lowest bid does not win. The bids have to be adjusted. Is your company minority owned? Owned by a women? Do you employ the handicap? And so on.

@MJTruthUltra That part probably has 20 pages of specifications the the supplier is required to meet. The cost of proving you meet the specification is staggering. Especially if the government purchases only a few a year.

@jeriellsworth Not to dispute the creative answers, but most like it’s grease. Most flaps are raised and lowered using jack screws which are lubricated with grease. I would guess someone followed the old adage, lubrication is good, more lubrication is better.

@KariByron Or hurt them as people will no longer be able to afford them. I had planned to replace my truck in a year or so when my wife’s car is paid off. I was considering getting a EV. Now I doubt I will be able to afford to.

@KE8P Given the typical government efficiency I suspect it will cost them $50 to process the $35 dollar fee.

@kb6nu So we end up with a small number of VE performing all remote test sessions. Not many teams will be able to do remote testing. The number of VE will drop dramatically. I also see no way to prevent cheating.

@mattblaze In addition many of the aircraft in us airlines are part of a military reserve fleet. They were activated during the first gulf war. So allow all US airlines to fold will damage military readiness.

@mattblaze I lived through 2 airlines going bankrupt, Eastern and Pan Am. It was bad. No one bought them out. If all US airlines go bankrupt at the same time I doubt anyone will buy them. All air travel in the US will rely on foreign carriers.

@kb6nu @arrl I liked the direction the ARRL was going with the new ideas and initiatives. I was getting ready to renew my membership. I am now debating if I should wait until leadership honestly and openly explains the situation.
