The Athletic surveyed 85 NFL players to determine their favorite and least favorite NFL stadiums. Top Three • Arrowhead Stadium (Chiefs) • US Bank Stadium (Vikings) • SoFi Stadium (Rams/Chargers) Bottom Three • MetLife Stadium (Giants/Jets) • FedEx Field (Commanders) • Highmark Stadium (Bills) It's crazy to think MetLife Stadium opened in 2010 and cost $1.6 billion, yet it is widely considered the NFL's worst stadium, while Arrowhead Stadium opened in 1972 (the 3rd-oldest in the NFL), and players love it. @JoePompliano Old stadiums were built for fans. New stadiums are built as altars to the teams precious revenue dollars. Yankee Stadium PERFECT example. The new one, built for $2.3B is a TOTAL shithole. Old stadium was greatest venue ever.
@JoePompliano Lambeau being that high on both is interesting
@JoePompliano Sofi is such a great venue.
@JoePompliano Not a rocket scientist but they put the shitter and two cold ass stadiums at the bottom three
@JoePompliano MetLife is an atrocity. Heinz field and Gillette absolutely blow it out of the water for 20% of the cost. Where did the $1.6b even go? 😂
@JoePompliano Never been to MetLife, what's so bad about the venue?
