It should be the goal of every government to eliminate poverty. We need to come together, hold our govts to account, and demand action - concrete plans, increasing disability above the poverty line, and free transit for under 18s #bcpoli #frasernicola #merritt #hopebc #endpoverty

I've said it before, we need solutions that help people today. That's why I was disappointed in the NDP's Poverty Reduction Strategy. We need to ensure that those on gov't assistance are raised out of poverty and make transit free for everyone under 18. #bcpoli #frasernicola

Responsible government spending means spending our collective tax dollars on the things that matter most to everyday British Columbians - housing, transit, infrastructure, health, and more - we need realistic conversations #bcpoli #frasernicola #lillooet #merritt #hopebc #agassiz

Budget cuts aren't the way to improve services and quality of life in BC and yet some think it is. We need robust and well-funded programs so that the quality of life that we have in BC continues to rise. We need a strong middle class #bcpoli #lillooet #merritt #hopebc #agassiz

Today is Intl Workers Day and it has made me glad to be in a Union. We need to ensure that everyone in BC has that right protected and we can't forget those who aren't in a labour union who still need protections. #labour #bcpoli #frasernicola @lillooet #merritt #hopebc

Community Healthcare will dramatically change how we interact with our doctors and nurses and improve health outcomes for our communities in Fraser-Nicola. We need to think differently about how we work together to make life better for all of us #bcpoli #lillooet #merrit #hopebc

We need a dependable, trustworthy, and affordable bus service between communities in Interior BC. You shouldn't need a car to get from Lytton to Agassiz. #bcpoli #transit #carfree #frasernicola #lillooet #lytton #merritt #hopebc #community #affordability #agassiz

Government budgets are about more than numbers on a spreadsheet. Elected officials need to realize that every number represents people struggling and trying to live their best life in our province despite rising costs #bcpoli #frasernicola #merritt #hopebc #agassiz #CostOfLiving

We need to think beyond tomorrow for our children by opening up more teaching spots in our post-secondary institutions and offer more incentives for Indigenous teachers for a more inclusive school system. #bcpoli #bcteachers #education #frasernicola #lillooet #merritt #hopebc

Right now, there is a huge conflict of interest where your employer is trusted to provide you knowledge of your rights - to unionize, to your breaks, and many more. We need to ensure that workers are learning their rights #bcpoli #merritt #workersrights #lillooet #hopebc @agassiz

The inflation rate and cost of living increases don't care about the minimum wage. The minimum wage never should have fallen below what is actually needed to survive but that is the reality for so many British Columbians. We need change. #bcpoli #frasernicola #hopebc #merritt

If our employment laws were reasonable your employer would be legally required to give you reasonable notice when your schedule changes. #bcpoli #cdnpoli #frasernicola #lillooet #workersrights #workers #legislation #merritt #agassiz #hopebc #harrisonhotsprings

The Employment Standards Act has been leaving those who lost their jobs during the pandemic behind. We need to enshrine the right to recall for those laid off. It continues to impact those in the accommodation and food sectors. #bcpoli #frasernicola #merritt #travelbc #hopebc

Occupancy is up, daily rates are up, and revenue is up so why are accommodation and food workers still not seeing the benefits that come with better business? We in BC need to start talking about service wages #bcpoli #merritt #frasernicola #hopebc #lillooet #tourismbc

Why are grocery food prices rising? The short answer is corporate greed. Every working class person who is struggling to pay increasing costs on everything is struggling to pay for food. We need a publicly owned grocery chain in BC! #bcpoli #merritt #hopebc #agassiz #lillooet

I want to see a BC where we are not only climate leaders but also helping push others to be too! Why can't BC be a jurisdiction exporting heat pumps, building more batteries, and manufacturing solar panels and wind turbines. #bcpoli #ClimateCrisis #merritt #agassiz #lillooet

We need more BC Green MLAs in Victoria - The BC NDP are increasingly opaque. They shut down debates and withhold info. Housing needs to be treated as a human right. We need affordable homes, a safe climate, and a new approach for childcare in BC. #bcpoli #hopebc #lytton #merritt

The B.C. Greens are urging BCNDP to take a bold step. We're calling for a ban on fossil fuel advertising here in BC. The climate crisis and its impact on human health demand immediate action. We cannot allow such harmful practices to continue. #bcpoli #lillooet #hopebc #agassiz
