Ehr did 26 years in the Navy, ran in '20 against Gaetz (283k to 149k); in '23 after first going for Senate, decided to instead challenge a vulnerable Republican in FL-28, at the very southern tip of Florida Both candidates have ~$1m in the bank Florida is interesting this cycle

I flagged this dude in '19 when he ran against Gaetz I haven't run this CV by anyone I know in the service but to a layman it looks like a lot of the things you want to see in a foreign policy decision-maker
in terms of "human terrain" remember there are six political biomes in Florida CD-28's current political boundaries put it almost neatly astride two of them, the "red south" portion and the "south" portion washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/…
the context is rough this cycle if you look straight at Cook Political and conventional wisdom (which is conventional for a reason) Remember that Jared Moskowitz guy with the amendment to make MTG Putin's envoy? Yeah he's got a tough race this year wusf.org/politics-issue…
I did a thread about Ehr a few months ago during the Senate bid The kind of pressure that you can bring to bear with guerilla anti-disinfo ops, it's possible with a statewide race but it's a steep microtargeting problem A single district is more doable x.com/JoohnChoe/stat…

And a lot of what you'd want to say in terms of fighting disinfo, Ehr and/or his staff (I'm guessing both) are basically there anyway, so That frees me to straight up talk about, like, insurance bills or the cable company or whatever people vote on this cycle (abortion?)
