Wonderful piece, an ode really. There is momentum, emotion, a whole universe of alliterative subtlety to this work. Lending to its voice this… trembling gravity, this terrible emotion, taking us to the very heights of rapturous abandon and dashing us down to earth again. 8.5/10

@scholasticthot @absenceshell @jrostopovich Feels a little bare. There is this horrible pettiness to the narrator, impossible to feel exhilarated by her conquests. Quaffing bad drinks, eating nasty cheese.. it’s an unpleasant time. The writing itself was serviceable. 3/10
Wonderful beginning. Balanced, well constructed, but quickly stumbles into Lit-Crit cliches. Grand questions that ultimately go nowhere, asking, over and over again— ‘Will the field die out?’ YES, if all we have to offer is finger wagging and other impotent, embarrassed defenses.
