2) Person accused meets the legal requirement for a person who can be held at no bond. 3) State (prosecutor) files a motion to deny bail. 4) State (prosecutor) requests an evidentiary hearing. An evidentiary hearing is a hearing with evidence (i.e. witnesses and testimony).
@JudgeGenesis This pretty well encapsulates the Texas requirements. I’m guessing that it all falls apart in Harris County because there aren’t enough judges that have the time to hear the motions to deny bail within the 7 day required time period. Sad.
