The Governor of Virginia says removing crimes from your criminal record you’ve NOT been convicted of allows you “to avoid the full consequences” of your actions. Make. it. make. sense. 1/2
“How do you say someone is avoiding the full consequences by expunging a record of something they were never convicted of,” our Executive Director, @rpogge, tells Radio IQ. wvtf.org/news/2024-04-1… 2/2 #VALeg
@JusticeFwdVa Not guilty means NOT GUILTY, at least in a legal sense. If the government couldn’t or didn’t prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, the defendant is not guilty as a matter of law. No matter what some still believe about the late O.J., a not guilty verdict is entitled to deference.
@JusticeFwdVa If "sense" is what you're after THAT would require a new governor. 🤦🏼♀️
@JusticeFwdVa Whatever happened to his son purposely voting 2x? That is a crime!
@JusticeFwdVa Remember, he and Senator Stuart believe that autistic people should be arrested and put through the justice system in order to get connected to services before having criminal charges removed. They want to round everyone up.
@JusticeFwdVa We actually need expungement for any non violent or drug trafficking charges & convictions over 10 years.
