I see that some people seem to think that when the solar eclipse reaches totality, they put on their eclipse glasses. It's the opposite. Wear your glasses before and after and take them off when the moon fully covers the sun. Not in totality? Keep them on the whole time.
@KMacTWN Thank you, Kim. I have been trying to get that message out. But I don't have a huge social media following, so I've shared with family, friends, and people in the neighbourhood. I will add your comments to my posts about it if you don't mind. Take care.
@KMacTWN Hi Kim I recall back in spring of 1984 when I was high school in St.Catharines and there was a great solar eclipse and I remember that it was not a fully covered up we used welding glasses to watch it. Can someone still use welding glasses for this total eclipse
@KMacTWN Yea that does seem familiar now that you’ve mentioned that.
@KMacTWN I wouldn't risk it by taking them off during totality. Keep them on.
@KMacTWN And you put them on over your prescription lenses, not under.
