@geekbroll @starwars Well they're using the original voices and this actually looks pretty cool. But for the original Star Wars I would never want them to recast EVER. The way they Handled Solo was awful! They could have hired the clone of Harrison Ford Anthony Ingruber! m.youtube.com/watch?v=VTjaxT…

@xWraak @hoenn4lyfe @queerjiminie @Masuta1019 @Imonlyhere2 @CindySong6 @DisneysMulan Well though I'm very happy they're making a more culturally accurate and sensitive Mulan. I hope Disney does keep some of its trade mark traditions like a happy ending for Mulan. Not necessarily that she gets married, but that Mulan doesn't die. That would be heartbreaking.

@heavedadoll @LaTesaLins @waveykameraman Nice try side stepping my question again Give me a word for when a company is trying to profit by using race without actually representing the culture properly. Ariel's Danish and her story takes place off the cost of Denmark en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demograph…

@teaspilts @LaTesaLins @waveykameraman Who are they basing the new original african princess on? I've been researching more stories from around the world to suggest disney make to represent more cultures. Much like how marvel used the rain queens to inspire the character Storm. Also do have any suggestions for stories

@Snow_Gore Do you know any titles of African stories or characters or people that you think would make a good adaptation for Disney?

@Snow_Gore Yes they should be adapting Yemaya or Mami Wata instead of doing Ariel. I am researching African tales to suggest to disney so they might make more black disney princesses or animated films. Much like when Marvel used the rain queens as inspiration for the character Storm.

The only people getting played are those who are not asking for more original characters. Anyone can be spiderman, but don't settle for a black Peter Parker. Demand they make a character like Miles Morales with his own identity & story. That is how we need to add representation.

Billie Jean King was the first female athlete to admit to being gay, but only after being outed in a 1981 lawsuit. It hurt her image. Yesterday, after winning the world cup, Kelley O’Hara—who wasn’t previously out—ran to the sideline & kissed her girlfriend. How far we’ve come.
