If you get a curveball interview question, don’t panic. Pause, repeat it back, and give yourself a moment to think. Thoughtful beats rushed. Plus, there is no *right* answer...they just want to understand your thought process. Speak clearly, and with context.

Engage on LinkedIn...don't lurk. Engage with posts in your field. Comment and reshare the post. It raises your visibility and boosts you in the algorithm. Most importantly, it puts you in front of recruiters scanning their feeds.

I will always repeat this: A job description on a hiring platform is just a glorified wish list. A manager has sat there going “okay so we need these things for sure, but also maybe it’d be great if also this? Oh and this?”. Don’t decline yourself on their behalf. Apply.

Pay attention to “preferred qualifications.” They’re not deal-breakers. If you meet the core requirements, apply…you don’t need to check every box.

Don’t rank your skills as “basic” or “expert.” Instead, show how you’ve used each tool or platform in your work. Context sells better than random labels that are open to interpretation.
