Free speech is a human right, a humanistic philosophy, a means to a better, fairer world. It should not be shut down by legalistic minutia of the law of the land in liberal democracies.

This clip can fit into various narratives. The student's antics are performative and arguably a bit silly, but she didn't abuse anyone. Fundamentally, to me, it boils down to free speech. Should we allow people to say things we disagree with, online, or in our home. My take is yes.
@nycexpatmom It pains me that you, @KelleyKga, of all the people I have immense respect for, 'liked' that tweet. It looks like the world is going full authoritarian. It's heartbreaking, I could cry ...
@BallouxFrancois @nycexpatmom I'm sorry, but to be honest, I really can't understand your apparent position that people don't have a right to determine who is and isn't allowed to be at their home.
@KelleyKga @nycexpatmom Those are a couple of professors who invited students for a party at their home - which, in todays's world we may feel was a good idea or likely not, but manhandling any of them as soon as they started talking about something they didn't like reflects incredibly poorly on them.
@KelleyKga @BallouxFrancois @nycexpatmom Don't worry, many of us have had trouble understanding his position since 10/7 and this position is highly emblematic of that.
@KelleyKga @BallouxFrancois @nycexpatmom I'm baffled by his take on this as well.
@KelleyKga @BallouxFrancois @nycexpatmom Well he cries and talks about micro aggressions. Explains everything.
