i like a man who actually LIKES me. not just a man who wants to sleep with me, claim me, or keep me from dealing with somebody else. i’m talking about a man who genuinely enjoys my company, wants to hear my voice, remembers the little things i tell him, and makes plans with me without me having to beg. because some men will swear up and down they love you but act like spending time with you is a chore. baby i don’t want to be somebody’s responsibility, i want to be somebody’s FAVORITE person.

There comes a point when a man’s inconsistency stops giving you anxiety and starts giving you the ick. And that is a beautiful day.

they didn’t lie when they said you’ll wake up on random day and decide you don’t wanna deal with certain shit no more.

Nobody prepares you for how much quieter you become in your 30s ! You stop needing to be seen, chosen, understood or validated ! You just want to feel rested, regulated, grounded & at peace !

my red flag? if you stop talking to me, i’ll stop talking to you too; not because i don’t care, but i’ll assume you want some space. i’m not the type to keep forcing a conversation or chase someone who seems distant. i’d rather respect your space, than force my presence. if you want to talk to me, you know where to find me.

adult friendships have taught me that sometimes the person you regard as a “close friend” isn’t really your friend. and that’s okay, take your L and move on.

If you ask me about my past, I'll always say it was necessary to shape the woman I am today. But if you catch me in a vulnerable moment, I’ll confess that my heart didn't deserve even half of what it had to go through.

If you only knew how far a man would go for a woman he genuinely wants, you’d be disgusted with yourself for all the begging, compromising, and excuses you made just to get the bare minimum. 😭

For the sake of your mental health, learn the difference between being fully chosen and simply being kept around. Being chosen means someone makes an effort to have you in their life. Being kept around means they give you just enough attention to keep you from leaving, but never enough to make you feel secure. One brings you peace. The other leaves you constantly questioning where you stand, overthinking every interaction and wondering whether you’re asking for too much. You deserve to be someone’s intentional choice, not someone’s convenient option. Stop settling for a place in someone’s life when what you really want is to know you belong there.

Everybody wants soft people until those soft people finally grow a spine. Then they call it "change" like it’s a betrayal. Growth looks like abandonment to people who benefited from your weakness.

Is there anything like being tired of being sad? Lol, yes I’m tired of being sad, I’m drained of being sad I just want everything to work out for myself and my family so freaking bad. I need a change, a good change, a better change, a permanent good change.
