My dear CHRISTIAN friend...are you going to FINISH your course with JOY? #christian #course #joy #race #running
An average person’s focus: 40% -- things that will NEVER happen 30% -- things about the past that CAN'T ’t BE CHANGED 12% -- things about CRITICISM by others, mostly UNTRUE 10% -- about HEALTH, which gets worse with stress 8% -- about REAL PROBLEMS that will be faced
'If you want to be DISTRESSED -- look WITHIN. If you want to be DEFEATED -- look BACK. If you want to be DISTRACTED -- look AROUND. If you want to be DISMAYED -- look AHEAD. If you want to be DELIVERED -- look UP!' - BB #distressed #defeated #distracted #delivered
May we as "children of light" pursue the "kingdom of God" (Mt 6:33) with as much, if not more, zeal and enthusiasm as the "children of this world" pursues profit and pleasure!
The Bible teaches GOD promotion, not SELF promotion! (Luke 14:8-11)
'The object of all things is GOD'S GLORY; and when He gets HIS GLORY... God's people get THEIR JOY!' - Jonathan Edwards #halifax #novascotia #baptistchurch #gospel #godsglory #joy
They were in Babylon but not of Babylon! (Jn 17:14-16)
Before Ezekiel speaks the WORD OF GOD to the people of God...he must allow the WORD OF GOD to speak to his own heart!
God's thoughts upon his people "... thoughts of PEACE and not of EVIL..." Regardless of His people being in a GOOD way or a BAD way. What an amazing God!
"Be HUMBLE or you'll STUMBLE!" - D.L. Moody
The BIBLE is history written in advance. With the state of current events...many of God's people are surprised! It is as if they can't believe it could happen in their lifetime. Let's repent of our UNBELIEF and read it as we see the Bible unfold before our very eyes.
God gave a vision to Isaiah after king Uzziah died. Where was God in all of this? On His throne! Just like today...regardless of who is Prime minister, president, or king!
We need to SEEK the face of God before we SEEK the hand of God!
Not only did Job use his "substance" to worship God in sacrifices and to provide for the needs of his family...he also was a help and blessing to others in their time of need! (Job 29:12-17;31:16-21) What are we doing with "substance" that has come directly from the hand of God?
'So many believers talk about DYING the DEATH of the righteous, but not LIVING the LIFE of the righteous!' - DG #bible #truth #gospel #cross instagram.com/p/CCYOF7iJo3Z/…
