The default Kerb dwell is 15 minutes, but you control the setting. You can choose between 1 minute and 7 days. The chosen dwell is fixed when a hold is created, so changing your setting later does not affect an active hold. The protocol fixes the release time when the hold begins. getkerb.xyz

With Kerb, your trust list is not a public address book anyone can edit. A recipient is added only when one of your own transfers settles. No admin can insert an address, and another wallet cannot modify your list. It records your payment relationships.

Kerb doesn’t decide who’s trustworthy or protect you if someone has your wallet key. It gives you something simpler: a chance to catch a mistake before a first transfer is final. Sometimes, a little pause is exactly what you need.

Your trust list isn’t a global “good address” rating. It’s simply a record of recipients you’ve successfully sent to before. You control your list, and you can remove an address whenever you want.

Ever sent crypto to a new address and immediately thought, “Wait… was that the right one?” Kerb adds a safety window to first-time transfers, giving you a moment to double-check before the funds reach their destination.

Kerb is built around a simple rule: addresses you have never successfully paid should get more time. Your first transfer to a new recipient enters escrow, giving you a chance to cancel. Once the window closes, the recipient can receive the funds. That is the core safety window.

Address poisoning works because wallets show shortened addresses. Kerb takes a different approach: it does not try to identify a good or bad address. Instead, a first transfer to a new recipient gets a cancellation window before it becomes final. You can catch a mispaste.
