🚨CODE RED ALERT. SOUND THE ALARM🚨 1. They’re trying to brush the TOXIC LEGACY SWAPS used to NAKED SHORT GameStop under the rug! 2. In 2021 Archegos collapsed due to derivative swaps on GameStop $GME 3. Credit Suisse (key partner) was forced to take a $4.7 BILLION LOSS 4. The Credit Suisse Special Committee inquiry DEFINITIVELY revealed Archegos had exposure to GameStop 5. On 6/12/2023, UBS acquired Credit Suisse 6. This included the acquisition of the toxic legacy swaps 7. Now, the CFTC is urging NO ACTION on the legacy swaps 8. For reasons such as… 9. “Reducing liquidity concerns that would not increase systematic risk or impact markets” 10. “Restore confidence in the stability of the Swiss economy and BANKING SYSTEM” 12. “Avoid margin calls against a single entity” 13. Citadel has $2 TRILLION in gross derivative exposure. TRILLION!!! 14. *Ring ring ring* ☎️ hi yes @DOGE/@DOGE_SEC? It’s TIME to go get them 15. So the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) has recommended NO ENFORCEMENT ACTION for the legacy swaps that UBS absorbed from Credit Suisse. Their reasoning for NOT ENFORCING these massive swaps coming due is as follows: "These legacy swaps were entered into prior to the relevant compliance dates for the CFTC’s margin and clearing requirements, and, therefore, were not subject to such requirements prior to this court-supervised transfer." This needs to be front page news and confirms two things: 1) Legacy shorts exist on $GME 2) This sets a wildly dangerous precedent for future over-leveraged positions
