@jiddah_salma My application letter will be in your DM very soon.

@InsideIlorin_NG What you should have done is EQUITY and not EQUALITY. Ask them what the want to eat not what you think is best for one should be best for another.

I paid a courtesy visit to a hardworking and enterprising young entrepreneur, Isa Gele, CEO of Himaz Properties, at his office, where he introduced me to his one-of-a-kind trade fair initiative in Adamawa State. It is always inspiring to see young people taking bold steps to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic opportunities. Initiatives like this deserve recognition and encouragement. The future belongs to young people who dare to create it!

@InsideIlorin_NG I don't want to believe this actually happened for real. 🤣

Please Incase you experience any police brutality in Kwara state or any of your friends or relatives. Please kindly reach out to the numbers on the screen 🙏🏻 Kwara state is a state of peace and harmony and this can’t continue. Thank you

This is what happens when you allow an UNEDUCATED person to lead you, because of Money. He made them all crazy, mad and shameless 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have never shared this story with anyone before, but what I’m about to share is a true story that happened to me in 2021. I was driving home from work on a Friday night at around 10pm when some unidentified police officers stopped me at Costain. They were not in uniform, and none of them showed me an ID card. Initially, I thought it would be a routine stop involving a request for my vehicle documents or a search. I was wrong. For context, I was a member of the bank’s football team and we train every Friday night at Campos. That night, after training I just zoomed off in my shorts and a T-shirt because I was rushing to get banana at costain and it was getting late. As I reached for my car documents, one of the officers asked me to open the back door. Apparently, he saw my work laptop and demanded that I turn it on. I explained that I was a banker, showed him my staff ID card, and politely requested to see a warrant before opening the laptop because of the sensitive nature of my work. Before I could say Jack Robinson, he pushed me back in my car, cocked his gun, and pointed it at me. He said and I quote “I go kill you and talk say you be thief, and nobody go see your body, talkless of saying you no be thief.” Read that again. A police officer threatened to kill me, label me a thief, and ensure that nobody would ever find my body. What saved me that night was the presence of a senior colleague who was driving behind me. He had followed costain to drop off some of the guys we played together when he witnessed what was happening and quickly contacted the bank’s CSO. That intervention made all the difference. Now, imagine if my colleague had not been driving behind me. Imagine if the bank’s CSO had already gone to sleep or was on a flight and could not be reached. What do you think would have happened to me? And how many people like me have been killed in cold blood by the very people who are supposed to protect them? I wasn’t wearing dreadlocks. I had no tattoos. I didn’t dressed shabbily. I was not behaving suspiciously. In fact, I showed my staff ID card and explained who I was. Yet, none of these things stopped an officer from pushing me and threatening to take my life. That experience has stayed with me, and it is one of the reasons I find it deeply troubling when people like you attempt to downplay police brutality in Nigeria. So, when Nigerians speak about police brutality, you have absolutely no right to dismiss or trivialise their experiences. You may be trying to defend yourself and your colleagues, and I understand that. But defending the police should never mean denying the lived experiences of the people they are meant to serve and protect. Please, sit this one out. Some of us are not speaking from hearsay, social media narratives, or propaganda. We are speaking from personal experiences that could easily have ended in our deaths. I survived that night, but not everyone gets that opportunity.

I have been harassed and molested by officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Ilorin, particularly men of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad under their then-retired OC, Oyesunle, or whatever his name is, simply because I identified myself as a farmer. To them, apparently, a farmer cannot own an iPhone or drive a good car. This is the unfortunate stereotype that has subjected me to harassment and humiliation. Being a farmer does not mean one must live in poverty or appear a certain way. Agriculture is a legitimate business, and farmers have every right to prosper and enjoy the fruits of their labour without being treated as criminals.

@FlygodNn No be lie sha 😂. " Where the guilty one is being punished, even the righteous one shall share from it "

@FinePopo I don't know the area you stay . But like someone challenged you to a social experiment the other time, you can take you time come to Tanke towards MFM junction around 7-9pm and see for yourself.

Stepping out of your house in Ilorin shouldn't feel like taking a gamble. You've got your laptop and phone, you're dressed nice, and you're headed to work or class. yet the main thing on your mind is whether you'll get intercepted and harassed on the way. #stoppolicebrutality.

We need to protest against police brutality in Ilorin 🫵 how can you carry a 32 seater bus with full squad and started chasing boys and cars on the road what level of violence is that

We demand an immediate end to police brutality, unlawful harassment, and the abuse of power in Ilorin.OUR LIVES MATTER. OUR FUTURE MATTERS. We demand justice, accountability, and a safer society for every young Nigerian. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! STOP POLICE BRUTALITY IN ILORIN! ✊🏾🇳🇬

Police brutality in Ilorin needs to stop. It’s getting too much. People should be able to interact with law enforcement without fear of being harassed, assaulted or treated unjustly.

ilorin policemen would profile, extort and harass you because you look fresh and the gov't are doing nothing despite the cry for help from the youths... i've never been a victim but this has been the story for many years. @followKWSG @RealAARahman . let this city POP again.

STOP POLICE BRUTALITY IN ILORIN! We, the youths, are tired of being harassed, intimidated, and treated like criminals in our own state . Our future is being destroyed because some people choose to abuse their power for personal gain. NOT EVERY YOUNG PERSON IS FRAUDSTER!

Ilorin Police don't even need any reason to arrest/extort you again. Once you are a living thing and you are breathing lasan, you go collect

Ilorin Police, being a youth is not a crime. Apparently, being young and looking sharp is a crime. The profiling and extortion need to stop! People complain almost every day!!! @kwara_policeNG @followKWSG @kwara_police Lord save us from this predatory Feds.
