Map 1 is almost ready and map 2 is shaping up. Kiwi's even figured out animated textures so he can have some fun. He'll have to put his nose to the grindstone if he wants to hit his deadline for map 2. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

Kiwi has just completed the first playthrough of Map 1 and can confirm that it can be run through from start to finish and the basic outline for Map 2 has taken shape! Kiwi still has a bit of work to do for map 1 but he's hoping to have both map playtest ready by the 30th.

Kiwi decided to just spend a bit of time making what could be one off textures and assets and he's happy with the result. He's not sure how much he'll improve on the level geometry but he knows he can make more unique assets to make areas stand out for chapter 2.

If there's one thing that drives Kiwi up a wall, it's when games give you some numbers but not others that are relevant, at that point you might as well not give Kiwi any hard numbers. This is especially true when you start stacking things.

Kiwi decided to do this on a lark during a session because some said they were going to draw an NPC like one of their french girls. Kiwi only has two concepts for "french girl" and he couldn't find his "art chick smoking a cigarette" reference, so he went with a maid. #ネクロニカ

Kiwi was supposed to spend today finishing up some animations for a new enemy. Instead he spent most of the day without electricity because the landlord cocked up paying the bill. It was also 100 degrees outside today. Kiwi tried drawing, but it was hard to not sweat on the page.

Kiwi first drew this concept a while ago, but it was on paper and the rain ruined that notebook so he had to basically start over. Kiwi's it far enough that he can start on its animations. He did the death one to start!

Kiwi got done group watching pretty much all of VOTOMS and over all it was a pretty fun ride, there are a few things that bugged Kiwi about it but he can wave most of it off. What really baffles Kiwi is what in the fresh hell was up with Alone Again releasing after Phantom Arc?

Kiwi just stumbled across this first draft/concepts for scenery objects while looking for something. He still likes the concepts of the stuff he ended up not using in Chapter 1. It's hard to say if he'll end up figuring out a place for them or if the look he's made would clash.
