You left their whole defence behind and finished it so calmly. That was the goal that made you ours. I still show it to people who ask why I love this club. You won the FA Cup with us. You scored fifteen in that season when you and Odegaard carried the attack. Opening day at Palace. The late winner against Villa. Those runs down the left when it looked like nobody could catch you. Last season you helped us win the league. Fifty three games. Eleven goals. Even when you were not starting every week you still showed up. Five Champions League games in a row with a goal. That finish at Club Brugge. Coming on and scoring after thirty six seconds. Then the hat trick at Portsmouth in January. Two headers. Your first ever hat trick. I was so happy for you that night. Two hundred and seventy eight games. Sixty two goals. You grew up here. You gave us everything. I am only a few years younger than you and watching you made me believe this team could actually be great again. Thank you for all of it. Thank you for the nights that felt huge.
