This cute book, I'm Not Small, by N. Crews, was a great tie-in for our PreK kids. They classified and sorted various items into Big or Small bowls, then completed an activity sheet, identifying the smallest and biggest fall items. @aisdlibsrv

This week we enjoyed this book where we learned about a variety of veggies and fruits, and focused on sunflowers. Learners practiced many skills (labeling, following directions, matching, etc) and enjoyed a great read. @aisdlibsrv

This past week 3rd - 6th graders listened to The One Thig You'd Save, a TX Bluebonnet nominee. They took notes and categorized the items from the story. Finally, they rated the book and reflected on what they would save. A few chose books! #TXBluebonnets @aisdlibsrv

Best-selling kid-book author, Matt de la Pena, visited our students today: highlighting his family, his heritage, and his journey to becoming an author. He encouraged listeners to not set limits on the possibilities, but to strive towards what CAN be. @aisdlibsrv @mattdelapena
