I’m a day late for #fossilfriday but I have a good excuse. The bird prep is done and I had to deliver it to my client in Kansas yesterday. 😃 In total, it took me 262.25 hours to complete. Here are the before and after photos.

Happy #FossilFriday I recently received this very sad mammoth tooth needing rescue, covered in an ancient layer of plaster and lacquer. After several hours of careful scribe and abrasive work and a healthy dose of Paraloid to stabilize it, I think it looks much better.

I wrapped up the preparation and stabilization on my Eocene turtle project just in time for #FossilFriday This is an amazing specimen and it has been both a joy and a horror to work on over the past 4 months. 😂
