@Backpainandwine Perfectly fine to request no children, but also don’t get mad at guests who cannot attend because they do not have child care (especially in the case of an out of town wedding).

Doug Mastriano has pledged to sign that bill — with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. Doug Mastriano is dangerous. Help us defeat him in November. joshshapiro.org/act

@TessaDare Millennial valedictorian here. The anxiety over missing finals would have pushed me over the edge. I would have fought through any kind of illness to be there. Though I am not saying this is the right approach, I can imagine my 18 year old self freaking out.

@socorros1765 No. I was planning to give seasons 2 and 3 a chance before hearing about this decision. It was the last straw that turned this whole thing into a bad soap opera for me. I don’t look to Austen for devastating sadness or to sob uncontrollably.

@bookhoarding I’m more excited for Georgiana’s story line than anything else. I strongly dislike the idea of an Austen heroine as a governess, and the idea the she’s “paving her own way” seems like a lame excuse to me.

This is what I keep saying... who let him release this statement? #Sanditon

Also... where are your PR people? A simple “I’m pained to say that my schedule won’t allow it” would have been much better than this pretentious BS. #unfantheojames
