Steve Wilks reaction is split between people who watched the 49ers this season and people who didn’t lol.
@KyleAMadson I watched all the games and think he's being scapegoated. A championship D should hold opposing teams to 21 or less, a championship offense needs to score 28. In the games we lost; including the SB the defense only gave up 19 and the offense couldn't score 20 pts in regulation.
@KyleAMadson Did these people not watch the first half of the NFCCG. I’m baffled by the outrage over this
It's simple: some people actually watched this team a and some people just looked at our record and assumed we were completely solid all over. Wilks turned a guaranteed path to the Super Bowl into a fraught, terrifying roller-coaster that we ultimately didn't survive. No personal offense to the guy, but good f***ing riddance.
@KyleAMadson What's bothering me is those making it a race issue.
@KyleAMadson If that’s the case why wasn’t nobody fired after that beat down on Christmas because we all saw the Ravens dismantle the 49ers. If any game someone needed to be fired it was that one. But the organization kept going like nothing was wrong but we all saw the flaws that day
@KyleAMadson Yes! 100% agree…that defense looked off all year. In a 23 game sample size, Wilks failed miserably. He was given more talent than the 2 guys that came before him and they stepped back. He was the wrong guy from the jump.
@KyleAMadson I don’t see how Kyle’s not gone as well.
