@iJordanMoore Haha bc they’re trying out a new 45 degree rule that has never existed in the history of baseball? You just start watching the game yesterday?

@notgaetti They’re using a 45 degree rule which has not been used in the history of baseball. Try again.

@EvanSonja @dead_baseball This new 45 degree rule in the minors is stupid. It’s always been the unwritten 90 degrees. Why change so drastically. Use the review, but let’s not rewrite what a swing is.

@JoGiovanni_ @TalkinBaseball_ @tangotiger Haha please enlighten me? It’s been the 90 degree rule of breaking the plain of the plate. It’s been the unwritten rule forever. This has not changed. Show me evidence.

@OutOfTheVines Bc there literally is no rule. It is umpires discretion.

@FeebleTeamFan Literally? Also, luckiest team? Tampa had the best record in the AL with like a +80 run differential. Any game they win is by 1 run. Brewers had a run differential over 210. I know which team I’d considered luckier.

@BarstoolHubbs This is comical. Bring review in, fine. But if all of a sudden, a swing has to meet this 45 degree bullshit, then we’ve lost the plot.

@KMWells33 @TalkinBaseball_ @tangotiger That’s fine. Bring consistency that shows the bat broke the plain. Not this new 45 degree bullshit.

@Jonnyla_77 @TalkinBaseball_ @tangotiger Put the review system in fine. But they’re just changing what a swing has always been. This system is a joke. Might as well just make it you have to make a complete swing.

@BenVerlander As David Cone always says, “ if that ball hits the barrel, it’s a ground out to the right side of the infield”. That’s a swing.

@dead_baseball It’s also not used in the MLB though. They’re testing it. And tbh, it’s pretty dumb. They’ve basically changed what has always been considered a swing.
