We’ve been close the last few years but we finally broke through and won the South Adams Small School Invite for the first time. Way to go, Panthers!!

How it started ➡️ How it’s going Zander Ritenour finished 5th in the 1600M run at the middle school state championship as an 8th grader. Two years later, he finished 9th at the high school championship as a Sophomore! 😊
Congratulations to senior Sophia Haslett on medaling at State this weekend!! Sophia became the first Lakewood girl to run sub 5:00 and finished in 9th place with a new PR and school record of 4:57.15 in the 1600! She then finished 13th in the 800 with a new PR of 2:14.18!
The Panthers are bringing home some hardware!!! Congratulations to junior Hayden Korte and sophomore Zander Ritenour on becoming just the 2nd and 3rd State medalists in school history!! Great job to both athletes and congratulations on amazing seasons!!
The last of our State finalists is senior Sophia Haslett, who will compete in both the 1600M & 800M races on Saturday. Sophia is the 1st Lakewood girl to qualify for State & the 1st Lakewood athlete overall to qualify for multiple events in the same year! This girl is on 🔥!
Our 2nd State Finalist is sophomore Zander Ritenour, who will be competing in the 1600M run on Friday night. Zander qualified for State by running an incredible 4:14.27 at a very fast and extremely competitive Regionals, which earned him the #5 overall seed at State! #GoPanthers
As we wrap up the school year and track season, we wanted to take a minute to say a huge THANK YOU to Head of School Dr. Burris, as he moves on from our school this summer. Thank you, Dr. B, for your compassionate leadership and bold vision over the last 7 years! #alwaysapanther
In May 2024, our cross country team collected shoes at our annual Fun Run. Today, over 300 pairs of shoes were delivered to children in need in the Philippines!! Thank you to Lakewood families for their donations, and to Tim & Neza Johnson for coordinating the delivery! 🇵🇭
Zander Ritenour ran a new PR and new school record in the 1600M last night at the Goshen Regionals, but that doesn’t tell the whole story… Running out of superlatives for this kid. ⭐️
