“We’re from the FBI, you haven’t done anything wrong but we are hoping you can point us to people who might have done something wrong. Also, if you don’t have anyone to inform on, then that is suspicious and you must have done something wrong.”
@LPMisesCaucus Most people in law enforcement are just doing their job, so I personally hesitate to show hostility. They deal with a lot of unwarranted hatred. However, public trust is quite damaged So when even local police knocks your door, you get nervous even if you’ve done nothing wrong
@LPMisesCaucus It is disturbing that they went to his house - with no specific questions and not investigating any specific person - to see if they could get him to report something. If he had something to report, he could report it to law enforcement of his own volition.
@LPMisesCaucus Do you have a warrant? FBI: No. you aren't in trouble, we just want to talk. Sorry. If you don't have a warrant, you are trespassing. Leave my property. That should end it unless escalation is required
@LPMisesCaucus FBI agents on tv vs FBI agents IRL. These are just the kids who were bullied in school.
@LPMisesCaucus If the FBI comes knocking at my door the first thing I ask is "Do you have a warrant?" and if the answer is anything but yes, then I say, "Please vacate my property, you are now tresspassing. Have a nice day.". If they do not, I lock the door and call my local sheriff.
@LPMisesCaucus Anybody know which Jackson County Sheriff openly collaborates with the FBI?
@LPMisesCaucus We said stack up homie. This is the best they can do?
@LPMisesCaucus <knock knock knock> "Hullo?" "Have you considered getting to know your lord and savior, Merrick Garland?"
