Tonight’s Wave of Light marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week. Our colleagues at both Musgrove Park and @YeovilHospital paused at 7pm to light a candle, and remember all the little lives lost too soon. 💙💜 #BLAW2022
It’s nearly the weekend, and it’s set to be a hot one ☀️ We're expecting healthcare services to be busier than they've ever been. So we’re asking local communities to use our NHS in Somerset, sensibly. Remember to look after yourselves, and look out for each other 💙
Following a rise in the number of patients with COVID-19 we're taking the difficult decision that from today we're asking all patients, visitors and colleagues to wear a face mask inside all of our NHS buildings, including clinical areas and non-clinical areas such as corridors.

Our Infection Prevention & Control team has been centre stage over the past 18 months - guiding colleagues, patients and visitors in preventing the spread of viruses like noro, flu and COVID-19. The team was awarded a Somerset Star for their outstanding support. Thank you 👏⭐️

Today we welcomed The Earl and Countess of Wessex to the @BathandWest, one of Somerset’s large COVID-19 vaccination centres. Their Royal Highnesses met key colleagues and volunteers working on the programme, as well as people receiving their vaccines.
Over 146,379 vaccinations have been given to people in priority groups across Somerset so far. If you are in groups 1-4, you can now book directly with the national booking service by calling 119, or visit: bit.ly/2ZbChC2. Don’t delay, book your appointment today.
We’re making fantastic progress in Somerset. Thank you to our amazing health and care colleagues and volunteers for supporting our vaccination programme. We’ve given more than 146,379 COVID-19 vaccinations to our highest priority groups so far.
