To be clear, labs ARE considered an essential part of the dental team, they are entitled to receive the Covid-19 jab if they have any patient contact. So contact the CQC clinic you work with to ensure they add you to their list of team members when they are requested for it

Look like dental technicians (unless cqc registered) will not be getting Covid vaccine as part of the dental team🤷🏻‍♀️please remember this when you ask us to come into the surgery and see patients /shade take whilst we want to help you wherever possible we may not feel confident to

Which thankfully means dental labs can remain open to support them. Labs and their staff have been devastated by the pandemic and lack of direct support so every case sent to the lab helps the chance of technical dentistry survival. 👍

Once that wealth of expertise is lost it will take years and years to regain it ... dental labs need supporting. If a crown was deemed clinically necessary 6 months ago, it’s still necessary now. #dotherightthing
