Folks from my service dog group (& the pups, of course!) attended an event benefiting Home Front Military Network, an org helping service members, veterans & their families, including $ assistance to prevent homelessness. Their call volume has > QUADRUPLED these last 5 years.

Took Crew up to the top of America’s Mountain (Pikes Peak) via the Cog Railroad on Saturday! Couldn’t see anything from the summit — socked in with clouds — but the views on the way up & down were lovely. And he was a total pro the whole time.

Friends, please pray. The fires in Southern California are absolutely terrifying; I’ve seen nightmarish videos that I can’t bring myself to post. I have many friends & family (& a guide dog school) I love there. Safe for now, but winds are high and fire is unpredictable.

A Barred Owl dropped in through the chimney of a home in Arlington, Virginia earlier this week. The owl decided to settle on top of the homeowner’s Christmas tree as a resting spot. It was then safely released back into the wild by @AWLAArlington.🦉
