#experiment I took a book in German 🇩🇪 and made a list of all its words sorted by frequency of occurrence. I'll learn words which add up to first 50% of the text, then check how much I understand. I will gradually learn top 55, 60, 65% etc. I am curious about the outcomes!

While reading a book in French I got an idea about LL. I noticed that nouns are the most useful to learn in order to understand the input. Verbs are easier to guess from context ex. you can "eat" so many nouns but you can use very few verbs with "chicken". 🤔 #languagelearning

In 2020 I started speaking in French. In 2021 I want to start reading books in French. I'm already half way through my first book and it's going pretty well. 😇

I'm learning mindfulness and it's so against my language learning habits like learning while eating, walking, cleaning or taking a shower. Need to find some balance.

In my head LL consists of 2 stages: Stage 1 - chaotic stage - struggling to find good resource, figuring out the language structure, doing many things at the time to find good way to master basics and get the gist of a TL 🤯 Stage 2 - peaceful stage - just enjoy the content 😌

I haven't even reached A1 in Chinese but I can already tell: TONES ARE THE WORST. 🤯 Fluent speaking seems so far away, every word I have to stop and think about which tone should I use. Also recognizing tones in native speakers' voice seems impossible. 🙉

I started listening to the meditation podcasts in French. I found it great resource for beginners. They speak slowly and you can learn all the body parts very quickly. 😆 #LanguageLearning

Every time I learn new French expression I try so hard to use it somehow. It stays constantly at the back of my head waiting for right moment to be let free. After days of saying it just to myself, finally, it makes it way to some native speaker.

Just finished watching Hero (2002). I'm so glad I understood few simple Chinese phrases + I feel so motivated to learn more hanzi. And to learn to fight.

You know the feeling when you suddenly start to notice the word you've just learnt, like everywhere? It makes it hard to learn new words just by immersion. What I do is find a video with subtitles in TL, download them, check all the words I don't know, then watch the video. 👌🏻
