We did - they just called it November
@LateKickJosh That is the top of the pyramid take - November is for contenders, and have we seen the contenders and pretenders over the last few weeks. Saturday was magical.
@LateKickJosh False. Without inter-conference play it’s not a “playoff”. It’s still subjected to conference biasses and a never ending debate of which wins were better.
@LateKickJosh No I mean where the country actually plays each other-not the current fishbowl format you want where the same teams play the same teams every year and we pretend they won a “national championship”
@LateKickJosh Why is college football the only sport where you’re punished for losing 2 games? And the only playoff that has 4 teams, we’re asking a bunch of college aged kids with a ton of things going on to have no margin for error.
@LateKickJosh I’m not sure why everyone is in a hurry to absolutely ruin the value of the regular season. The regular season in college football is the only meaningful regular season in sports. It is part of the playoff.
@LateKickJosh We have a year where TCU & USC get into the CFP for the first time a year after Michigan & Cincinnati did so, and some still act like the CFP is always Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma every year (a 4-team combo that has never existed in the CFP era).
@LateKickJosh The same November where the SEC strategically schedules FCS teams?
@LateKickJosh It's hard to enjoy how amazing this season has been knowing once expansion comes we will never get this ever again.
@LateKickJosh Weird folks don’t want even more football but prefer less football.
