We tried dropping her back twice today. Both times she was back within the hour. We explained to the owners and they laughed. She just liked the food, room service, cooling fans, friends and attention too much here I think. First dog to ever check herself back in 😅 (7/7)
Last night I looked up from my Desk. Joy had come back. She made her way back to our sanctuary. She wanted to see everybody and she even went back into her little suite at bed time to wait for her dinner to arrive and sat in front of the fan (6/7)
We took Joy back. It was only a mile away from the land. There are 10 other dogs there. The people have very little but they treat their dogs well with what they have. We brought some toys with Joy for the kids. We had done our bit and fixed the dog. Or so we thought 😅 (5/7)
Joy healed well and started coming on walks and meeting the other dogs etc. After spending close to 2 weeks with us it was time to go home (4/7)
She lived on the streets with some poor migrant workers and their 10 dogs. Joy got constant wound cleaning 3 times a day, great food and even pyjamas to help protect it and heal. She was an ideal patient. Friendly and gentle. (3/7)
Joy had a very bad wound on her side. It was probably caused by either getting snagged on barbed wire or a small bite from a dog that the opened up. We had to take her in for treatment as it wouldn’t heal alone. (2/7)
