The four models, the next-morning handoff, and the numbers to track: lawopsforge.com/2026/10/23/aft… If your phones go to voicemail after 5, DM us. Law Ops Forge puts live people on your intake line 24/7/365.
A firm that answers 9 to 5 on weekdays is closed most of the week. Arrests and accidents don't keep office hours. Four ways to cover nights and weekends: staff rotation, outside overflow, hybrid, or true 24/7. Pick one you can run every week. Patchy coverage hurts more.
@TLTurnerGroup Start with the first call from a new client. Write down the questions you ask, the cases you turn away and when you book the consult. Hand that page to someone good, then review a few calls each week instead of taking them all yourself.
@ckeller23 Good line on intake. A missed target with call data shows you where it broke. A plan in a drawer shows you nothing. Good luck in Tampa on Sunday.
@CaseyMeraz @MChuckGreen Same test works for the phone. Call your own firm at 7 PM on a Friday. What does a scared person hear first: voicemail, a phone menu, or a live person who can book them?
@TLTurnerGroup One place to start: list the decisions you made last week and circle the ones someone else could make with a one-page rule. Intake is usually first on that list. Which cases you take, who gets a callback, who books the consult.
@iamsagarpratap Owning the lead at 9 a.m. is the right fix. One more rule helps: when the overnight call can be booked, book it on the call. Then the morning owner confirms the consult instead of starting over. Fewer handoffs, fewer cold leads.
@thatattorneylai Agreed. The head start only holds if the after-hours call ends with a booked consult, not a message. A message at 9 PM turns into a callback race at 9 AM.
