AI can give correct answer and make student a worse learner. So what is the problem? Maybe is not "Did AI really give them correct answer?" But, "What did students have to think about it?" It's different.

@MarioNawfal Maybe “screen time” is the wrong metric. What matters is what happens to thinking when the screen is there. Does technology help students think harder? Or does it make thinking unnecessary?

If AI can explain any topic in seconds, what's the teacher's job now? Not less important. Different. Maybe the future teacher isn't the person who knows the most but the person who helps students ask better questions, think critically, and know when AI is wrong.

@OECDEduSkills Maybe the problem isn't but students outsource to AI. If AI does the summarising, explaining, and thinking for them, the task may finish faster but learn less. The real skill may be knowing what to delegate and what to struggle with.
