Day 25 of #100DaysOfCode I started refactoring a personal project into MVC architecture in JavaScript. I also ended up having an hour long fight with nom trying to configure parcel. :/

24 / #100DaysOfCode Fixed the bugs from yesterday. 2 of them went away on their own, which scares me. Learned about the publisher subscriber design pattern. My head is barely above water at this point, and my respect for self-taught professional devs has increased tremendously.

Unpopular opinion: ChatGPT scares the hell out of me. As someone who has put the last two years into programming, it seems that the bar to entry into tech has already been raised, and will continue to do so.

23 of #100DaysOfCode I have a handle on basic JavaScript. Been taking a dive into the harder parts lately. Maintaining persistence in the face of resistance is becoming more of a theme now. Today I tried to break a personal project into modules and received 4 errors unexpectedly.

22 of #100DaysOfCode was spent spinning my wheels, trying to understand complex logic on very little cumulative sleep over the past week. I’m almost finished with my JS course and the last sections are absolutely brutal. It’ll feel that much better once I get it all down.

Day 20 of #100DaysOfCode was hard, but prudential. I learned the significance and implementation of the config.js and helper.js files. Played around with async await. Broke something, cried, fixed it, laughed, broke something else…

Day 19 of #100DaysOfCode Sometimes it’s good to know when to slow down. When I take in a vast amount of new programming knowledge in the span of a few lessons, my learning will be clouded if I continue on. Today was all about reviewing recent information, and practicing it.

Day 18 of #100DaysOfCode and I’m laughing at myself for ever believing that JavaScript isn’t that difficult. Refactored code using MVC architecture, modules, and converting to OOP. I now respect, and appreciate the challenges before me. Never giving up!

Day 17 of #100DaysOfCode I learned how to handle event listeners relative to an AJAX call which changes the # of the url in javaScript. I’m also starting to get the gist of MVC(model-view-controller) architecture. @jonasschmedtman is blowing my mind with this course!

Day 13 of #100daysOfCode refreshed my DOM manipulation skills in JavaScript. It was surprising to see how much I retained. Coding while tired is not my cup of tea though. I’ll have to restructure my schedule next week to find a way to code when I’m able to fully focus.

Day 12 of #100DaysOfCode Super tired so I played around on @CodePen and began developing simple login/logout functionality in JavaScript. I found out that its hard to focus on a tutorial while tired, but when working on a project I’m laser focused.. What gives?
