@chefchaouen14 @MrMcEnaney We don’t have a socialist government, we have a nationalist government & under @NicolaSturgeon, education was be a priority- failed. Now child poverty is @JohnSwinney ‘s priority .. Education enables people to move out of poverty. @theSNP have no interest in either sadly.

@MrMcEnaney Weighing in here as I have before on this subject but both me and my husband are working class. My daughter had such a horrendous time at high school that we worked extra hrs to fund her place at private school. Not everyone attending is upper class nor is everyone paying.

@April23098569 @Lecturer_Picket @EISFela We are all GTC registered and many EIS represents many in both professions. I think we should be working together more. I know we would be negotiating with separate bodies but nothing to stop us making the same claim and standing together to get it. Unity is strength.

With EIS Fela's recommendation, we accepted 3.2% (£1500) for 24/25 & today teachers were offered 4.27%. Fela members need to wake up to the disparity between EIS members. If accepted, top teacher salary is £50587 vs our £48357. Next year we will still be below this at £50359.

You and your comrades who stood on those picket lines for days on end can look any of your workmates in the eye and know you couldn’t have done anything more to fight for everyone involved in FE. It's hard to believe any public sector workers in Scotland would have 27 days of strike action to fight for fair pay. Yet the offer on the table to us is far from equitable with our teacher colleagues, in fact we will end up thousands of pounds below. Don't forget to vote.

@Aiden__Byrne @EISFela @EISUnion I am in full agreement with you. I am very grateful to our negotiators who have worked so hard. That said this is simply not good enough. The 0.14% over the 4 is an insult given the 5% offer to refuse collectors and 5.5% to NHS. I want parity with colleagues in schools Now. NO.
