【世界のコワイ事件】 「池袋通り魔●●事件」 ◆造田博（23） ◆映画「葛城事件」の基となった事件 1999年の初秋。 白昼の池袋サンシャイン通りに突如、異様な怒号が轟いた。 「お前ら、ブッ●してやる！」 包丁と金槌を手にした男が叫びながら、通りすがりの人々を無差別に襲い始めたのだ。 一瞬にして混乱に包まれた雑踏の中。 男はわずか数分間で2人の命を奪い、6人に重軽傷を負わせるという地獄絵図を作り出した。 造田博 23歳。 逮捕後の彼は興奮した様子もなく、「世の中に嫌気がさしていた」と供述した。 だがその生い立ちを辿ると、あまりにも孤独な少年の姿が浮かび上がってくる。 かつての造田は優秀な少年で、学者や医師を夢見て県内有数の進学校へも進んでいる。 しかし遺産を相続した両親がギャンブルにのめり込み、やがて遺産も使い果たしてしまう。 挙句にパチンコのため多額の借金を抱えたことで生活は一変。 自宅には連日のように借金取りが押しかけ、ついには両親が当時17歳の造田を残して失踪してしまう。 突如として家庭を崩壊させられた彼は、職を転々とする中で次第に「世界が自分を迫害している」という強烈な被害妄想に侵されていく。 唯一の身内である兄は何度も彼を助けようとしたものの、残念ながらそれが未来を防ぐことはできなかった。 これは造田が兄を拒絶していたわけではなく、事件前も「兄に迷惑をかける」と葛藤していたという。兄弟の仲は悪くなかったのだ。 だがその後も造田は社会に対する不満を募らせ、周囲から迫害されているという思い込みを強めていった。 1999年9月3日。造田の携帯に無言電話がかかってきた。 知らない人のイタズラか同僚の嫌がらせかは不明だが、この出来事をきっかけに彼の怒りは爆発する。 そして9月8日。一度は葛藤したものの、最終的に池袋へと向かった。 東京地裁は造田に死刑を宣告。 彼の生い立ちに一定の理解を示しながらも、何の関係もない人々を無差別に襲った犯行を厳しく非難した。 ◆ 2016年、映画『葛城事件』が公開される。 三浦友和が演じる威圧的な父親を中心に、一見平凡な家庭が少しずつ崩壊し、やがて次男が無差別殺傷事件を起こすまでを描いた作品だ。 ※ただし『葛城事件』は池袋の事件だけでなく、附属池田小事件・秋葉原通り魔事件・土浦連続殺傷事件など、複数の事件を参考にしている。 映画のミノルにも実際の造田にも、背景を知ると同情できる部分はある。自分ではどうにもできない環境に怒りを抱えるのも理解できる。 だがそれを他者にぶつける行為は当然許されるべきではない。 じゃあ、どうすれば事件を防げていたのか？ そう問われると、簡単には答えが出せない。

@MannyMarotta They get a favorable ending a months long dispute over the status of Greenland. They retain political and legal sovereignty over the land which I imagine includes most of its economic or other resource benefits. And they get peace of mind regarding its security against threats.

@25YearsAgoLive Such a shame that they couldn’t put their hatred aside for even half a day. We had countries that hated us for DECADES give public condemnation at least, and personal condolences at best, yet THEY couldn’t.

@SpryLay No Muslim is innocent. They all wanted it, they agreed with it, and they practice a religion that teaches nothing but intolerance and hatred. The only ones with ANY level of innocence were the children, whom had been brainwashed to follow a cult of violence.
