Over 100,000 Canadian soldiers died fighting for our nation's freedom under this flag. Honouring our historic national symbols has nothing to do with hate and everything to do with remembering our history.

@LeslynLewis We can also remember why Canada shifted from the Red Ensign without insulting the dead. "Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson insisted on a design that conveyed allegiance to Canada while avoiding colonial association." The Great Flag Debate, Canadian Encyclopedia
@LeslynLewis Thank you for acknowledging those who made the sacrifice for their country!!!
@LeslynLewis You love those proud boys nationalpost.com/news/canada/fo…
@LeslynLewis I think we should go back to that flag. It is much nicer than what we have know imho.
@LeslynLewis I was astounded when I saw the way they were trying to deface that flag. Canadians deserve an apology for that kind of hate. There was no call for it. That was the flag of freedom for so many.
@LeslynLewis @KellyBlockmp has been made aware how unacceptable this is.
@LeslynLewis @1867Loyalist The values guide needs to be edited! The Red Ensign is not a hate symbol and I'll continue to fly it proudly!!
@LeslynLewis @Canadian_GuyIII …or, you know, it COULD just be the flag of Canada EVERYONE older than 57 born in Canada was born under. Some folks over 90 don’t even recognize THAT…some of them see the Union Jack 🇬🇧 as the true “flag of Canada”. People have to stop attaching their own biases to EVERYTHING.
