It's a bit bloody rich seeing Countdown touting for donations for food banks when they could just solve the problem by NOT MAKING SUCH A GIANT PROFIT!! Lower your food prices, stop asking us to fund the problem you create.
@LibraryKath That's why I stopped watching Eat Well For Less. It showed only shopping at Countdown, leaving out really helpful budgeting tips like compare supermarket prices and make the most of Paknsave esp for basics.
@LibraryKath @KarinMary1 Countdown cutting 100's of jobs outsourcing to suppliers and putting in more machine checkouts .National and Act promise wage cuts and fair wage agreements gone. National support job cuts and AI taking paying jobs. workers chucked on scrapheap by Seymour and Luxon.
@LibraryKath Robertson will complain if they reduced their profits because that will reduce the tax he takes from the profits, plus it increases his daily GST take. He has even added GST onto the reintroduced fuel tax.
@LibraryKath I wont donate to countdown or any other business. They can get tax rebates when they hand over the money!! I will donate only directly to charities
@LibraryKath I’m pretty sure Countdown did not cause rampant food inflation
