@KathyHochul You talk about others hurting new Yorkers, but you just vetoed a bill for safety in New York City for EMS supervisor first responders, you also vetoed a bill to allow people to re-enter the 25 year pension system and a mental health bill for state troopers.

Ems in NYC is sinking. While pay is just a single factor to the multiple issues they face, the fact remains, if you paid them on par or even close to what other first responders made, there would be less turnover and more incentive to actually stay within the field and career.

EMS has seen 6,000+ calls a day for the past 2 weeks. Instead of setting booby traps for Zohran, Mayor Adams could call OLR and tell them to pay EMTs and paramedics a living wage like he promised. Continuing to treat EMS workers like second class first responders is a choice.

@JustinBrannan We are constantly holding jobs on a regular basis. Thank you for bringing attention to the very serious matter. Hopefully the mayor. Outgoing or incoming, will understand the severity of this and make sure proper pay is given.

As of last night, FDNY EMS and their participating partners have responded to 1 million 911 calls this year, and it's only August. We can't have second class first responders in this city. EMS needs a new contract and pay parity now!

@Jadababy25 Depends on the mood I start with unfortunately. Couple usually is ok, to many brings the true conversations out.
