What a disastrous U21s campaign this has been, and through no fault of Matty Jones and his staff! 🤬 Having your strongest players called up to the senior squad, only for them to spend their time sitting in the stands without playing a single minute, is beyond frustrating. Even for the final game against Austria, when the senior camp had ended, Matty was still forced to go without players who could undoubtedly have strengthened his side and potentially made a huge difference to the scoreline. But why? A complete lack of collaboration between the senior and U21s setups has to be questioned. The geographical distance between the two camps, with the U21s based on the other side of the country, will only have added to the problem, making any seamless transition virtually impossible. An absolute shambles! Did anyone genuinely expect this team to win games under those circumstances? How can a manager be expected to deliver results when he’s been deprived of his strongest players, particularly when those players aren’t even getting minutes at senior level? Anyone who understands football can surely see the bigger picture here. You cannot undermine a team’s preparation, take away its key players and then act surprised when results don’t go your way. So, who’s really to blame here? 🤬 @FAW @NoelMooney @MattJones__7 Or is this really The Bellamy Effect? Because right now, scapegoat is the word that springs to mind. And Matty Jones and his staff deserve far more than to be judged on a campaign in which the circumstances have arguably been stacked against them from the start. Accountability needs to work both ways! 🏴☠️
“There’s nothing more exciting than seeing young blood come through. I don’t think Welsh football can be in a better place right now.” 💬 Matty Jones on the emerging Welsh talent 👊

What a job this man is doing!!!! Best 21s campaign I can remember in a loooooong time, that one with Ramsey with Allen in the side and Churchy up top was good but this is exceptionally good 🏴
Together We Are Stronger. ♥️

💬 Matty Jones: “I’m really proud of the boys for finding the solutions early in the game. Once we matched the intensity and got up to the tempo, we were able to flourish with our game plan.” #TogetherStronger
💬 Matty Jones: "We've given opportunities to younger players who we need to cast eyes on. That allows me to experiment and create a healthy, competitive environment." #TogetherStronger
