Our Wildlife Health Technician, Laurence Muruhura at Conservation Through Public Health spotted a member of the Rushegura Gorilla 🦍 family enjoying a drink of fresh water… 💦 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park's streams and rivers provide clean water for wildlife as well as the surrounding human communities and their livestock. Sharing water sources means that poor sanitation, improper disposal of human and animal waste, and inadequate livestock deworming increases the risk of zoonotic disease transmission to endangered mountain gorillas. Through our Village Health and Conservation Teams (VHCTs), and Community Conservation Animal Health Workers, CTPH promotes good sanitation, hygiene, safe water practices, and animal health, helping protect both people and gorillas. EBOLA So WHO says Ebola cases in Congo dropped from 906 to 116 all of a sudden? They say they mistook other people having similar symptoms as Ebola for being Ebola cases. Guys guys!
