18 August 1944. Probably the only footage of someone earning a Victoria Cross. Canadian Major David Currie secured Saint-Lambert-sur-Dive and withstood heavy counterattacks for 36 hours. His small force killed or wounded 800 German soldiers and captured 2,100 more. #WW2 #HISTORY

the Russians are now in full intimidation mode and an accident is waiting to happen, when it does, the Russians sure will blame the US/NATO plane for it, as the Chinese did when their fighter collided after an unsafe approach with a US Navy EP-3. youtu.be/NlGNEPnc3U0

the E-2 is a now 60 year old, the US Navy keeps it mostly for cost reasons and in its E-2D version it is reaching its limits in terms of payload & range,the choice by the Chinese to clone it is then quite difficult to understand but for their inability to come with something new.
