It has been 12 years since the lives of 20 children and six educators were taken in minutes by a gunman armed with a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle and high-capacity magazines at Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut. Their legacies live on in the enduring movement that has been built over the last 12 years to end our nation’s gun violence epidemic.
