@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ I agree just think you have to entertain the possibility that you won’t go straight back up. The champ is a different animal to what it was 13 years ago and owners are scared to chuck money in after relegation. The spine of your team will inevitably leave and you’re back go zero

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Brings us back to where this whole convo started 😂 12 months from now i reckon you will need/wish you had george. I thought he was shit when he signed but was unreal for us last 7/10 games and i think you’re gonna need that next year

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ I agree with you I’m genuinely not dissing, if anyone’s gonna sign for champ club next year it will be you. But there’s no point having all that pull if you don’t invest well and the last 5 years doesn’t fill me with confidence. Ipswich 2.0

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Who would stay from your 11? Soucek, paqueta, Bowen, areola, walker-peters, Summerville will all be gone. Then what?

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Been in the championship for 10 years so I’ve seen it all. Parachute payments or not the championship is unpredictable and unless you invest sensibly you’ll be in trouble. Zero guarantee you’ll go straight back up. Can’t see many of you’re 11 staying and Nuno isn’t exac a pull

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ I genuinely hope you do. You’re too big a club not to be in the prem but the reality is you’re coming to Ashton gate next year if it’s not for a miracle. What I’m saying is youre a fool if you disregard George with champ experience when the rest of your starting 11 will be gone

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Having watched him for 6 months I feel the same way you do.. didn’t really wow me. Let’s be real tho when he first came on loan to us the majority of your fans were rimming him cause he was your golden boy. Think you’re silly to disregard when you’re deffo gonna need him next yr

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Name me 2 or 3 in your academy that are better?? When he signed the first time you were all gutted. I’m not disagreeing with you though... I’m a city fan and the rest of my family are hammers and I’d hate to see you get relegated but be real who’s better!??

@dearbartek @noah_challis @westy81362046 @ConnorWHU_ Fast forward 6 months… you’re in the championship, George has left for free on a perm (inevitably to Bristol city), everyone else of worth has also gone and you’re in the mud. Can you honestly say you wouldn’t have kept him??
