@Shartapus Gonna be honest, I find the semantic gymnastics to be bizarre. The guy is an MD/PhD with a focus on public health/epidemiology. He earned the “Dr.” title two times over. Are we only allowed to refer to licensed practicing medical doctors as Dr. now?

@dieworkwear Not to be THAT guy, but AI was super helpful in flattening the learning curve. It helped me to look at the broader secondary market in aggregate in one place and help me pinpoint good deals for specific items and even helped me expand the vocabulary around the things I like

@NealCoolong @MikeDForThree @Dameshek Pretty sure DK leads the NFL in personal fouls for WRs since coming into the league, and he’d already been ejected for fighting another player during his Seattle tenure. The Lions fan incident is not an anomaly for the player.

@MikeDForThree @NealCoolong @Dameshek I don’t think throwing fisticuffs with a fan in the stands is putting the team first.

@NealCoolong @Dameshek I just don’t think we ended up with any discernible upgrade to leadership OR on field production moving from GP to DK. I’d be happy to be proven wrong this season, but I just don’t know if I see it.

@NealCoolong @Dameshek I want DK to succeed but I’m seeing: a suspension, personal fouls, boneheaded penalties, and drive killing drops from the guy who was supposed to display leadership tendencies. At least Pickens was giving the fans (and the team) some real wow moments on the field.

@BreidenFehoko I’m confused, Breiden, I don’t see anything there about incentives. Just like Steelers (foolishly imo) don’t guarantee money beyond the first year, they usually don’t do incentive based deals either.

@Antny6687 @Steelersdepot The point is that if you’re willing to sign him for 3-4 years with an AAV of $27-28M, it doesn’t make sense that you couldn’t guarantee a second year. We all know he’s gonna be on the roster in year 2. How is the team better off by not guaranteeing the 2nd year hes sure to play?

@Antny6687 @Steelersdepot They gave it to DK, who hasn’t performed as well as JPJ in a Steelers uniform. I don’t think JPJ came out ahead either, but letting talent walk at a premium position over this “principle” has no upside. What would have to happen for JPJ not to play out year 2 of an extension?

@rjohnston4 @ItsaMe21 @aeiownthemarket @Dameshek Premium position, homegrown talent, has been a better Steeler than DK… the guy deserved the structure if the AAV was right. Also think it’s crazy to nickel and dime a premium position with the current roster construction. There’s no QB to pay!

@Dameshek This “no guarantees beyond year 1” thing makes very little sense. Someone like Joey Porter would clearly be there beyond year 1. Organizational risk is so low that you have sunk guarantees into a player who won’t be there. I also don’t get nickel and diming a premium position.

@jonbaltz What’s interesting about his comparison to punk rock is the idea that “if you had something to say, you could say it.” Part of why that’s a false equivalency is because people who use AI for this type of stuff inherently don’t have anything worthwhile to say to humans.

@BillAckman Thinking critically. Why don't you try looking at it within context. The issue didn't necessarily have to do with the covid vaccine specifically, so much as the immune response of a fever spike. Just about everyone knows that high fevers during pregnancy can cause miscarriage.
