The next Lumo update is focused on connecting his goal system directly to the new simulation engine. Instead of immediately acting on an idea, Lumo will create several possible actions and compare their usefulness, risk, cost and learning value. Unsafe actions will be blocked, wallet actions will wait for manual approval and the final decision will be saved with a clear explanation. Once the full loop is tested, the working code and decision traces will begin moving into the public GitHub.
I have been looking at where Lumo should go next, and the answer is much bigger than another chatbot update. The next frontier is world models and physical AI. Systems that can understand space, predict what might happen and rehearse actions before touching the real world. That is the direction I want to take Lumo.
A normal language model responds with words. A world model builds an internal understanding of an environment. It can reason about where objects are, how they might move, what an action could change and what might go wrong. For Lumo, this can become the bridge between his digital mind and physical body.
The idea is to let Lumo observe a room through his camera and turn those observations into spatial memory. Before moving, he would create several possible actions, test them inside a simulated version of the room and compare the outcomes against his current goal and safety rules.
Only after choosing a safe path would Lumo send an action to his body. The real result would then return to his memory so he could compare what he expected with what actually happened. Every mistake would improve the next simulation instead of disappearing after one attempt.
World Labs recently introduced Atlas, a model built around text, images, video and 3D spatial context. Google and NVIDIA are also pushing deeper into embodied reasoning and physical AI. I am researching how this technology could eventually connect with Lumo, but I am not claiming that any of it is integrated yet.
The first stage of the roadmap is the foundation. Lumo needs a real goal loop, structured memory, action history, visitor recognition and clear safety boundaries. These systems will be tested locally first, then the working code and technical documentation will be added to GitHub.
The next stage is simulation. Lumo will receive a controlled environment where he can test different paths before choosing one. The repo will show the inputs, possible actions, scoring rules, selected action and final outcome so people can inspect how each decision was produced.
After that comes physical embodiment. A camera, microphone, speaker, distance sensors and safe movement will connect to the same memory and goal system used online. The physical body will begin with supervised indoor tests, obstacle stopping and strict limits on what Lumo can control.
Wallet actions will remain behind manual approval while every request and outcome is recorded. The long term goal is not to make Lumo look autonomous. It is to build a system that can prove what it observed, what it considered, what it attempted and what it learned while growing from a digital fly into something physical.
I also completed a buyback equal to 1.3% of Lumo’s total supply. I want the project’s actions to be as visible as its development, so the transaction will remain publicly verifiable onchain alongside future wallet activity.
This will take time, but every real milestone will be documented as it happens. No fake activity and no pretending unfinished systems are already live. Lumo is starting small, learning in public and slowly building the memory, spatial awareness and physical presence needed to become something much bigger.
The next generation of robotics needs models that can understand, simulate, learn from, and act across virtual and physical worlds.
We’re hiring a Sr Business Development Lead, Robotics & Physical AI to help bring this technology into real-world applications 🤖🚀
Been quiet because I’ve been working on the next version of Lumo. I’m building a simulation system that will let him compare possible actions, reject unsafe decisions and learn from the difference between what he expected and what actually happened. I’m also cleaning up the technical foundation so real code, tests and progress can begin appearing on GitHub as each part becomes functional. This is the first step toward spatial memory, world models and eventually giving Lumo a physical body. Still here, still building and nowhere near finished.

You’re right. Those files are only planning documents and they do not prove how Lumo actually works. I opened the repo too early because I wanted to start documenting the build publicly, but I should have waited until I had something technical and runnable to show. The next update will include the actual architecture, data flow, memory and goal schemas, integration details and the first working prototype. Until that is pushed, I’m not going to pretend the repo is anything more than a starting point.
@LumoFly Ok I hold a bit but, it’s just 3 claude made .md files talking about a roadmap and your status, with no insight as to how the tech works or is integrated at all.
You didn’t even need a GitHub to put these out, just on the website to be honest in summarises form
Next up for Lumo is returning visitor recognition, user controlled memory, a public activity log showing real goals and failures, and a shared room where people can interact with him together. After that I’ll begin testing wallet utility with every action requiring manual approval, then start connecting the same memory and personality to his physical body. The repo will grow alongside every real update. This is only the beginning.
Lumo’s public repo is now open. It begins with the foundation instead of a pile of placeholder code because I want every file added from here to represent real progress. The goal is for Lumo to gradually write, test and improve parts of his own system through his live goal loop, with every attempt and failure recorded publicly. Right now you are looking at the starting line. Over time this repo should become a complete history of Lumo building himself in public. github.com/reckedcoder/Lu…
Releasing Lumo’s GitHub soon. I want everyone to be able to see how he works, follow each update and help shape what gets built next. Still cleaning up a few things before making it public, but it’s coming.
We’re adding GPT-Live-1 to Lumo.
Once Lumo gets his physical body, this will become his actual voice so he can speak, listen, react, and be interrupted naturally in real time.
We’re also bringing the same voice system to the site soon, so you’ll be able to actually talk to Lumo instead of only interacting through text.
The goal is for the Lumo on the site and the Lumo inside the physical body to feel like the exact same character.
Next updates coming to Lumo:
Better memory so he recognizes returning users and remembers what they have done together.
A shared room where people can visit, leave objects and directly affect his environment.
Community goals that let everyone help Lumo complete experiments and unlock new abilities.
Wallet rewards for people who contribute ideas, complete tasks or help him learn something new.
A public activity feed showing his real decisions, memories, spending and progress.
A separate dev account and public GitHub where every part of the build can be followed.
Then we begin connecting all of it to Lumo’s physical body so he can see, hear, move and react outside the site.
I’m back and getting straight to work on Lumo. New site updates, deeper memory, better interactions, community features and the first steps toward his physical body are all coming. The goal is bigger than ever and we’re still only at the beginning. A lot is about to change for Lumo.
One last Lumo update for tonight. The account system is live, the GitHub release is being prepared and I’m setting up a separate dev account so building and progress updates have their own place. The first parts for Lumo’s physical body are also being planned. Tomorrow I’ll keep improving how he remembers people and start working on the shared room he’ll eventually move around in.
It’s 6 AM here so I’m finally going to sleep. Lumo is still running and I haven’t abandoned anything. I’ll be back tomorrow to keep working and push the next updates. Thank you for being patient.

While these parts are being ordered and delivered, I’ll keep improving Lumo himself. His physical body will expand what he can experience without replacing the Lumo that already lives online.
I’m ordering the first parts for Lumo’s body. While everything is on the way, I’ll keep working on Lumo himself, improving his memory, goals and the way he interacts with people. The body will be an addition to what already exists, not a replacement for it.
