3/ I am reminded every day of what I experienced as I still have long Covid almost four years later. I have recovered significantly from where I was but it still impacts me every day and I don’t think I will ever fully return to what I was before Covid.

2/ to my own fear that I was also going to die alone when I then developed Covid pneumonia that I had caught at work, to not being able to be with my own grandmother when she died alone of Covid in hospital, to not being able to attend her funeral,
1/ Watched #Breathtaking. An important programme but very triggering. I work on an older adult mental health ward but it took me right back to caring (whilst only being provided with basic surgical masks and plastic aprons) for those dying a horrible death with no family allowed

Sometimes, as a nurse, it's impossible to stay detached when the person in front of you is suffering so much.
Today I found myself in tears with a patient with dementia who was sobbing as she told me 'I'd rather be dead than this'. #ImInWorkJeremy

I've nursed for nearly 14 yrs but still get attached to some pts. I'm caring for someone who's dying imminently & feel the tears welling up
Shit day at work and now I've still got post-night shift insomnia. I came off nights five whole days ago FFS!
